This is a Huge Vintage Sterling Silver Black Onyx & Rubies Spanish Style Hair Barrette measuring approx. 4 1/2" X 3" at its widest, and the pin measures approx. 7 1/4" X 1/4", and although not marked, I will guarantee that these are STERLING SILVER.      Sorry don' t know if the rubies are real or synthetic.    Just a fabulous Barrette!
