Vintage Wooden Chinese Girl Figurine

Though this doll bears no visible markings, I received it from a relative who lived in Hong Kong in 1974, so I making a reasonable assumption that it is of Chinese origin.

The body is made of wood with a fabric "skirt" glued on. I am unsure as to the material of the arms, but they are fabric covered and the sawdust head has a hand-painted face and long yarn hair pulled back in a ponytail.

While dirty from many years of "modelling", this doll is in good condition. The material is faded, the bag has lost a sequin, some of the trim is coming off, and the glue has separated at the end of the ponytail.

While I will be sad to see her go, I hope that her new owner will be able to fix her up a little and take care of her properly.
