I was really surprised when I turned this vintage enameled flower brooch over and found no maker's mark, because it's so beautifully made. The very dimensional larger flower has two layers of blue enameled petals with a separate outline of silver tone metal, and the top of the two layers swivels about 1/4" to the left so you can have a staggered look if you want. The center is made of 3 different blue beads--a moonstone, a faux pearl, and a blue crystal with AB finish--and all three are connected to the brooch with prong set rhinestone head pins. The smaller flower is movable too, spins all the way around. The stem and back are textured to look more natural, and the enameling on both the petals and the leaves is done in two shades to add dimension and visual interest. The beautifully faceted baby blue rhinestones that accent the leaves are paste set.

It measures 4-1/4" high and 2-1/8" wide, has a safety swivel clasp, and is in excellent vintage condition. The only issue is small areas with missing enamel, most notably on the first layer of the top flower's petals, but because of the 2-shades of paint thing they're barely noticeable to the naked eye. I don't consider it outside of normal wear anyway, given the age of this really outstanding brooch. Great one to add to your collection of fine costume jewelry.
