This item: a large Russian or slovak hand painted Samovar, probably mid century
very good condition, minor paint chips-no dents

It may have minor blemishes that come with age & usage which are typical of its history. It is generally well-cared for but not perfect. It is USED-- it is old-- this should be expected.

There are no major defects to the parts that would effect its structural integrity or use other than what is specifically noted here.
Salvage items may have dirt from demolition. Depending on application, may require tweaking or alteration in the field during
installation. A professional carpenter or contractor is advised for all changes, restorations, & applications of salvage.

Shipping & Delivery Options: Combined shipping welcome

Rush Delivery: Available for most items by request: inquire.
Pick-Ups: within 30 days at no additional expense;
after 30 days with advance notice & permission for LARGE items or large quantities (storage fees may apply).
You must make an appointment within our normal scheduling. Emergency rescheduling of appointments permissible.
If paying at the time of pick-up, you must do so within 7 days & pay sales tax.
If you cannot pick up your item within 7 days, you must make payment arrangements within 3 days of purchase. You may leave a partial payment deposit if the item is valued over $200, the balance due on pick-up.
Third-Party Pick-Ups: You may hire your own shipping company/ mover IF the service is guaranteed available.
Friend or relative pick-up is allowed, BUT if they fail to do so you agree to have the item transported to you at your expense.
www.Uship.com: Pick-Up terms apply. You may arrange this, or you may request that we arrange it. We may decline to arrange it if you have not already committed to purchase through bid or deposit.
LOCAL COURIER: at our discretion, for large items or large quantities, private courier white-glove hand-delivery to your door within a 3-hour drive radius of the item location
Unless you are picking up, we will automatically give you the local courier service when appropriate for the item or location; OR when it is less expensive than the other methods.
$1.65 per mile from the item's location to your delivery location 1st floor, up to one van-load. There is no charge for the return trip. We use Mapquest for mileage rates. Add $20 per flight of stairs. (Not charged for buildings with elevators)
You must assist in unloading. If help is not available at delivery, you may request we bring a helper for an additional charge.
Set-up & assembly included.
Minimum charge is $65 for in-town local deliveries (less than 40 miles).
USPS: for small items ONLY. If not listed above, it is not available for this item because it is too large/heavy.
Insurance & Signature Confirmation may be included in your shipping rate. This is MANDATORY.
FedEx & GPX (Greyhound): at our discretion, via the calculator supplied by UPS above. UPS is available by special request. The rates are usually the same between these companies when you factor in home delivery.

Home delivery is included in all FedEx AND GREYHOUND shipments.
DISCOUNTS:
GREYHOUND GPX is the only shipper who offers a cheaper rate if you pick up at the terminal. The standard discount is $36. You must confirm prior to purchase.
SHIP YOUR SECOND CHAIR FREE!!
Most chairs can be packed two in a box for the same cost as sending
one, since by nature one can be packed upside-down (with plenty of
padding between) on top of another one. Inquire prior to purchase.
Combined Shipping: if items fit together in the same shipment safely & result in efficiency of cost or convenience.
FREIGHT: for the largest and heaviest shipments, a Freight shipping agent may be used to find the most convenient and economical trucking company.

We will only ship with services that offer insurance. Standard first-class international USPS is not available.
Large items are shipped FedEx or Ocean Freight.
PACKAGING & SPECIALTY CRATING: Large/Fragile goods
SAF-PAK crating system is MANDATORY for most large/ fragile items that may not otherwise survive shipping in standard peanuts or bubblewrap. Our special packing guards the item from breakage.
Additional Packaging: Optional added layer SAF-PAK crating for extra protection is recommended for an additional charge by request.
Purchasing SAF-PAK crating helps ensure positive approval of damage insurance claims. Because it is high above industry standard, it is difficult for shipping companies to deny a claim for an item that was SAF-PAK'd. For more information, visit our About page.
