This is an authentic WWI practice bomb thrown at training troops on the ground. It is 13 inches long and 3 inches in diameter and weighs 1 pound 7 ounces. The wood appears to be maple. The base is brass and the top appears to be galvanized steel over brass which is brass tacked in place. The wood has barely distinquishable markings. Partly legible is AIRCRAFT,10-1-138, and CT1 8. The wood is a little marred; but basically in great shape.
