A WWII era trencher or shovel with original leather cover indicating Swiss origin by markings.

Shovel weighs 3 pounds.

Dimensions are  22L x 6H x 3W inches.

Handle is oak with brass nail in it; 10x2.5.

Steel trencher is 8x6, 5 rivets, minimal rust, numbered LC23.  Oak handle sandwhiched in steel shafts and compressed with slip ring.

Leather case recently saddle soaped, has aluminum and brass rivets, sewn seams, excellent shape.

labeled with Swiss cross, 40, E. Beetschen, Sattlerei, Schaffhausen. Which translates to mean the upholterer or leather Co. is E. Beetschen from Schausen, Switzerland.

The shipping weight and size: 6 pounds in a 25x8x4 inch box.

 

Returns: I will take returns if you call within three days of receiving the item and we mutually agree on the problem.
