What a classic wood purse. Found at an Estate
sale in the middle of Missouri Amish Country. This vintage beauty is in
good pre owned condition. It would really be an asset to your wardrobe
or vintage purse collection.
Perfect with the gypsy, boho, hippie, country, rockabilly look.
Measures approximate 9 1/2 inch by, 4 inch by 6 1/2 inch without handle.
Purse
is much prettier than the picture. The inside was redone by the past
owner. The lining inside also has a cute little pocket for extra
storage. I would have left original, but they did a nice job.
Design
of purse is similar to a vintage picnic basket, but of course smaller!
I have taken a lot of pictures, you can see there is some vintage
damage from use, but I think this only adds to the charm.
If there is a signature, I can't find it. There are initials on the top
DMW. Also notice the hand painted house and tree on the inside of lid.
Love the hand painted shop village on the outside. The work and design
does look like Caro Nan, but I can't find any signature to verify this,
so not listing as one.
