More about this item
A matched pair of vintage mid-century moderne retro art pottery table lamps, in a very unusual and wild retro design. I don't know who made them or how old they area, but they are original and not modern-made. They are a dusty-pink color, and this is actually in the clay itself- it's not just a glaze. That's unusual. They also have a mix of gloss and matte glazes- see pics.
Over the pink ground is a splattering of very thickly applied, painterly white speckles. The overall form I think seems Native-American inspired, but perhaps that's just my own impression... Mayan perhaps?
They are somewhat large, about 2-feet high each. There is some light crazing to the glazing, but not bad, generally adds to the look. They are wired and ready for use, in working condition, but the wiring is used, and no warranties are included. Harps with finials are also included, but no shades. Your bid is for the pair, both for one price.
