What is the "Next Up Improvements" List? What Significance Does it Have?

This list is balanced alongside our regular bug fixes and user-specific requests when budgeting our development time on a daily basis. The usual workflow is feature/bug submitted -> improvement added to this list -> improvement is beloved, and gets added to site.

The ultimate determination on what gets done when depends on a large number of other factors, including how long it may take, what the implications on our simplicity would be, what future requests would result from implementing an improvement on the list, the rate of polar ice melt in the Nothern hemisphere, and so forth.

Q. Is it that we can vote on only 3 items per month? or 3 items per submission? If it is 3 items per month, why is it limited?

A. You can have 3 votes on the list at any given time. The votes don’t disappear, but stay on the items you have voted for until the item is removed from the list or you change your mind and move your vote. If new items are added to the list and you want to change your vote, just un-click something you voted for before and vote for the new item. The item you took the vote from will go down a point and the new one will go up one.
