About me
MY OBJECTIVE:
I'm here to provide name brand, new & gently worn clothing for my customers, at affordable prices. My hope is that you will enjoy visiting & purchasing my clothing items as much as I enjoyed providing them for you.
HOW GENTLY WORN FASHIONS GOT ITS START:
I have been buying and selling second hand clothing for over 20 years. I am a "Bargain Queen" when it comes to second-hand and have always dressed my own family in gently-worn fashions. Through the years I've been more than blessed with finding so many good deals that now I want to give back by blessing others with low prices & good deals. My goal is to try to keep most items under $5.
In 1994 I opened up my own business (GENTLY WORN CONSIGNMENTS) and managed a successful consignment store for over 5 years until 1999, when I went back to work in customer service. People are always asking me to open up another consignment shop, but with all the internet opportunities available, I decided to try selling some of my stuff online.
I want to assure you that before listing anything for sale, I am very careful to make sure it is clean and described honestly and sell only items that are in great condition. I would never sell anything that I wouldn't buy myself!!! My clothing items are not stained, dirty, or smelly and I try to provide only good name brands.
Because of having previously owned a consignment store, I understand customer service and value my customers highly. I live in a small town and people are always bringing me their stuff. No matter how hard I try, I can't get away from it! I'm hooked!!!
WHAT I LOVE:
1 - COLLECTING ANYTHING VINTAGE - They don't make things like they used to, so everything old catches my eye. I have been collecting for so long now that I have run out of room to put things and have decided to part with some of my treasures by listing them on Bonanza.
2 - GENEALOGY RESEARCH - I have been researching my family history since 2000 and it has really paid off. In the process of searching to find out about my long lost relatives, I found my 1st love again. We have been together and happily married now for 8 years and plan to grow old together!
3 - SEWING & MAKING CREATIVE DENIM CREATIONS - I have been sewing since I was 10 years old, when I used to hand-sew my summer halter-tops. Now, I take denim jeans and turn them into long fashionable skirts and other creations that I sell on etsy & eBay. (I may be listing a few on Bonanza in the future, but haven't made up my mind yet.)
4 - SINGING & TEACHING SUNDAY SCHOOL AT MY HOME CHURCH - I've always loved to sing since I was old enough to hold a hair brush in front of the mirror and love doing it whenever I get the chance. My husband Danny and I sing together at church. I also teach the adult class whenever I'm needed.
5 - ELDERY PEOPLE - Sit down and talk to an elder and you gain a wealth of knowledge & wisdom you can never find anywhere else. My grandmother was 88 when she passed and I miss the times we used to spend together. Older people are so precious and are the jewels of our society.
6 - WRITING - Growing up, I always used writing to express myself and it has stayed with me through the years. On Bonanza I am really enjoying the opportunity to participate in the Hand Pick Lists because it's another way you can express your self. Using pictures, instead of words, I never thought about that before...

Bonanza is such a warm and friendly environment for selling your stuff and everything is so easy! I hope to make this my home for a long time and to make some long and lasting friendships.
