    Hi!
I love painting artwork for children and pieces that are nostalgic and romantic- to tell a story or capture a special moment in my pastels.
Here you will find art for kids, babies and adults too!

Here is a little biography that I have, if you are interested:

Laurie Shanholtzer has established a sound reputation as a portrait artist and pastel painter. Over this time she has literally painted hundreds of commissions. These paintings grace homes, offices and public institutions both nationally and abroad.

A third generation artist, Laurie's art conscious family includes her grandfather, the nationally recognized muralist, Vincent Maragliotti, (example: Philadelphia capital dome), Her Aunt Iris Guarducci, a Pulitzer prize winner in portraits and her mother, Gina Tetzlaff, a prominent New York dress designer and portraitist.

Originally from Bronxville, New York, Laurie is now a resident in West Virginia. She established the first portrait and pastel classes at the Museum of Art where she taught more than nine years. She is former President of the Tri State Arts Association. Her extensive lectures and workshops include the Armand Hamer Collection, area school workshops for students and teachers, and various civic groups. She has been juror for numerous exhibitions including the Kentucky state Arts Festival, the Jackson Ohio arts Exhibition among others.

Currently, she is still enjoying painting portraits as well as still-life, landscapes and figure paintings. Reproductions of some of these works are now available
