    Hello!

    Here is a bit about myself. My name is Walter and I was born and raised in Switzerland. And yes that is the famous Swiss Matterhorn mountain in the background of my profile image ;-)

    I came to New York in 1981 to work at an Investment bank at the former World Trade Center. I liked my job but was not really fullfilled and happy. So I quit ( lucky me) and pursued a fulfilling and creative hobby: collecting stones and minerals and creating nice things with it.

    Collecting rare and beautiful stones and beads has been a hobby of mine since I was a little kid.

    Well, as an offshoot, I got involved with jewelry design. I discovered my own creativity, gained confidence and became so successful selling jewelry which I designed in my own studio workshop in New York, that I gave up my banking profession. I supplied department stores and upscale retail outlets with my signature high end "pave" custom jewelry designs all over the US and Europe.

    At the same time I also worked in collaboration for some of the largest and most prestigious jewelry design firms of that time in New York and later became a founding partner of the Bead Shop in Switzerland, which still exists today.

    My fascination for beautiful beads, stones and glitz has never faded and I have continued that fascination into a new business adventure 10 years ago by supplying designers, stores and collectors all over the world with common and rare quality beads, findings and stones.

    I have gained a reputation for knowledge in the manufacturing process and reliable friendly service worldwide and do hope to count you also as one of my loyal customers.
    As of late I started painting again. I have not painted for many years but found an old love. Sooner or later I may put up some of them for sale For now i like them all for myself to enjoy but space is running out to hang them all up LOL ... ;-)
