• About me

  Being creative is something that runs in my family. My mother is creative in fabrics and art, my father is handy in wood. My little sister draws and takes care of people's lives, the older of my two brothers poses for scottish calendars in his kilt and helps protect america, while my baby brother makes beautiful woodwork.

  Me, I got the mix it up creative bug. I can do a little bit of everything if I put my mind to it and have the equipment available to me. I've worked in wood, leather, plastic, fabrics, glass, drawing, painting, jewelry making... I think the only thing I can think of that I haven't really tried was metalwork, well outside of the silver bits used in jewelry making.

  So back in 2003 while I was surfing around looking for help on colour pencil drawing, I found a place where the glass community was AMAZING. I was drawn in immediately, another form of art, but the PLUS side... IMMEDIATE satisfaction. Who could ask for more?

  I got started making glass beads on May 16, 2003, with the help of my Fairy Glass Godmother Linda Campbell, I started out on a HotHead torch and used it religiously and with great pride, until I upgraded to a National 8M, with a concentrater and a brick kiln to cool my little beauties off. So all my little beads, are created by me, myself and I, here in my little kitchen studio in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Each bead is lovingly made and carefully kiln annealed to make sure it will last a normal lifetime, without rough abuse.

  We all know that things do happen, but glass is glass, yes? And if you drop it on the ground or run over it with your car it will break. Oh and another thing, little kids LOVE to put things in their mouths, so please, pretty please with sugar on top, keep loose beads away from small children and all kinds of animals. Glass does not go down well...

  In my other spare time, I create costumes for different occassions. For carnaval, that's the dutch equivalence of New Orleans Mardi Gras, I create, sew and design costumes for myself and my family. I have recently been making old style looking ball gowns, civil war style hoop dresses, as well as Civil War rebel uniforms, and old western costumes, outfits and dresses. I have recently expanded my costume designing to include more fantasy styles.

  I am looking forward to bringing my creations to Bonanzle and to you the most important aspect, the consumer.
