About me
Covered from head to toe in a deep red terra cotta clay at age eleven, I began my love of ceramics. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, my first introduction to clay was at the local community center on the potter’s wheel . I continued my education in art through high school and college as well as private and advanced programs. I’ve won awards at juried art shows mostly in Washington State and shown in many galleries. My work was purchased by the city of Everett, Washington for their permanent public art collection. L
I'm now back living in Santa Cruz, California after three years creating in Asheville, North Carolina at my studio in the River Arts District. While there I continued sculpting in clay, painting with acrylics and learning my new passion of encaustic painting. I met many wonderful people that I will miss who openly shared there ideas and creativity with me. I also enjoyed the amazing beauty and inspiration of the mountains and the community. -
