Welcome To My Booth
Southwest Americana is located in the beautiful Hill Country of central Texas, and quite a few of my offerings deal in some way with the culture of the South and Southwest. I'm not a native Texan ( originally from the frozen northern territories), but as they say, I got here as soon as I could, and fell in love with the culture and the history.
I offer hundreds of books from vintage and collectible to new and used on subjects ranging from art, cooking, gardening, history, mystery, and beyond. My interest in books is not just the subject matter, but also the illustrations, the authors and their life history, and even the history of some of the publishing houses.
Having spent many years in sales and customer service ( both retail and wholesale ), I firmly believe shopping should be a good experience....interesting, sometimes just plain fun, and always enjoyable.
When listing books, I go through used books page by page listing all defects. That is time consuming to say the least, but having ordered books myself in the past only to find out they were not even close to the seller's description, I want my customers to know exactly what they are ordering...if present, all dings and boos boos listed.....no surprises. I also stock everything I sell......no worries re problematic shipping via third parties.
Customer satisfaction is my goal...to treat others as I would like to be treated.
