  Willow and Company is the creative entity of Christa Sievers, who collaborated greatly with her husband Daniel. Modern styling and vintage charm makes Willow and Company a truly unique boutique. The handcrafted vinyl covered handbags and coordinating jewelry will stylize anyone’s life.

  The Beginning:

  During the winter of 2008 I found myself unemployed. My creative outlet had been cutoff. I had been working for a custom home builder in the Chicago area as an interior designer. Customizing floor plans and choosing interior finishes was a daily exercise of creativity that no longer existed. I needed to do something, to make something. Redecorating the house was not an option at this point so I looked to my wardrobe. A new bag, that’s what I needed. Next to new shoes, what more could put a smile on my unemployed face?! I quickly designed, cut, then sewed my first handbag. The coolest part about it was that I covered it with clear vinyl. A year earlier, while searching for a baby shower gift, I came across a line of diaper bags made from laminated fabrics. This gave the bags the ability to be easily wiped clean. I thought to myself, “Why should only big bulky diaper bags have this feature?” Thus, my first bag was born. Everywhere I went women would stop me and ask were I got my bag from. The entrepreneur in me said, “Now’s your chance!” So I jumped in head first.

  I quickly designed up a collection of handbags and totes and invited a few friends over to take a look at what I was doing. They LOVED them! I immediately started having purse parties and making special orders. A year later I now have my own web-site (www.willowandcompany.com)and I have my products in a number of retail boutiques. I still host purse parties, but they now include my coordinating line of jewelry and ipad cases. I feel like I have only just begun. Everyday I think of new designs, new features, and new colors to use. I love it!
