I’m not sure I understand. Must I have a booth for 25.00 a month, or can I just pay 3% and a portion of shipping instead?

You can sell on Bonanza without buying a membership. Listing items is FREE. You will, however, have to pay a minimum 3.5% selling commission (FVF) on the sales amount after selling an item. Unlike eBay, the first $10 in shipping charges that your customer pays is NOT subject to a commission.
You do not have to pay anything for a Bonanza booth unless you want [URL removed]
• Upgrade to a paid membership that has extra features and privileges. See memberships > https://www.bonanza.com/memberships/
• Advertise your items and pay a higher commission than the 3.5%., See advertising > https://www.bonanza.com/site_help/booths_setup/bonanza_advertising_faq
• Open a Bonanza WebStore that will cost you $25/month, but result in NO FVF being charged on items sold through the WebStore. See WebStores > https://www.bonanza.com/site_help/webstores/faq

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
