Me too, QM :) So to answer my own question.. My Mom did and they were all so special, I treasured every one. She crochet and hand sewed many clothes similar to these. There are so many memories for me in this list, I hope they bring you some wonderful memories as well! ~Audi
Cute List Audi, – With the long winter months ahead, I am sure there will be many hours with knitting needles in hand -for many of you out there. Stay Warm and Safe. -
Hi Lost, thank you.. yes I think there just may be.and you too!
Hi Neills :) I had no doubt your booth would have perfect dolls for this list. and I was right ;)
OH booger, I forgot to answer the question: My ma didn’t allow the Barbie-type dolls. We had baby dolls. I don’t recall my ma making clothes for the dolls/ She was a sewer or is it spelled ‘sower’? so it wouldn’t surprise me if she DID make some of clothes for the dolls.
I don’t think my mother made clothes for my dolls, though she did for me! One time, though, she had one of my favorite dolls completely refurbished by a doll person and I gave it to my daughter. There is a picture of me holding that doll as a Christmas gift when I was about five, and of course that is an OLD picture! Great list Audi!
Hi QM, I never had a Barbie but I had a Tammy, my favorite Aunt gave me, I loved that doll. I’m sure I had a baby doll but I don’t recall one specifically. Funny the things we remember and forget :D Yes, sewer.. you got it ;)
Hi Vintage, that is really awesome.. one of the best, most meaningful gifts I’m sure. Just thinking, a photo of each of you holding her in a double frame would be exceptional.. just a thought ;)
Did you or anyone make clothing for your dolls?
