@AudiLee: We didn’t do that tradition on Thanksgiving. My ma’s not big on the day. She’s not fond of turkey, she was an only child (so no siblings or nieces and nephews for her to visit), and her parents always lived close enough that we usually saw them at least 2X per month.
So being all that, she really didn’t have much use for Thanksgiving.
Thank you for putting my HON on the list. The postcards are my fave. I like mailing correspondence.
I’m thankful the ‘noticing’ of my business has picked up this year. Makaing a Google Business page (FREE to everyone) made a big difference. I’m getting phone calls and a person showing up at my house to see my products.
Are you making any dolls anymore? I hope so. I like the ones in the photos I’ve seen.
Hi QM, I just learned that a female turkey is called a hen. I didn’t know that, I thought only chickens were hens. I learn something every day. It was my pleasure, I love your HON. I’m glad for your biz, that’s awesome! Thanks, QM, but no, I’m unable to make any more dolls.. life-size are difficult as I’ve aged more and having physical limitations :’(
A very timely list with super variety Audi. Thanks much for including my postcards. What I remember most about Thanksgiving was that we usually went to my grandparents, and I was always excited to see my cousins from out of state. Sometime during the afternoon, we would go upstairs to my aunt’s bedroom and make crank telephone calls, which we found very amusing.
@AudiLee: I’m sorry to hear about the decline in your health. I’m starting to feel the creeping hand of death on my back too.
I try to stay healthy by doing a vegetarian lifestyle and exercising every day. But there’s only so much one can do ~nature IS going to win out.
The names we give animals is funny. A group of cats is called “clowder”. But since cats are solitary animals, there’s rarely ever a need to use the word.
A group of crows is called “murder”.
This is a gorgeous Thanksgiving list; it will look perfect on the Home Page. I have always loved your dolls and although you are no longer making them, their memory will always be with me. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season. I’d give you a hug if I could.
Hi Vintage, we all have such great memories! I remember crank phone calls LOL :D Hi quadrina, thanks… to you and yours as well! QM, you’re on the right track health-wise… food and exercise for sure! You’re also right about funny names :D Starry Jan, thank you (and I hope so!) <3 I did keep a select few, can’t get rid of my ghoul-friends, you know? We ghouls gotta stick together :D I would hug you back <3
Thanksgiving was not a big deal for us but Mama always cooked a ham, turkey or chicken for the immediate family. Our cousins lived nearby so no out of town visitors. My favorite was always the greens and sweet potato pudding. Thanks for including my TY Turkeys.
Hi vintage, I love greens and sweet potatoes but I don’t think I’ve ever had those in a pudding.. sounds good :P That’s a great price for 4 of the turkeys, they would make nice gifts!
Hi Audi, thanks for including my item in your list. We used to leave the giving of thanks to the elders but know I give the thanks on the daily. Wishing everyone here a Wonderful Holiday Season.
You have the most brilliant imagination! YOu think of everything!!
Love it and so appreciate being included on your Hand-Picked Lists!

Growing up.. on Thanksgiving day we would go around the table and each person would say something that they were thankful for! Anyone else?
