Distinctive sweet flavor. Ripens about September. Good fresh, cooked, in sauce and preserves. This tree survives hot,cold and freeze temperature, hardy -20 to -10. I will wrap the roots and soil with wet paper towel and send priority mail . When you get the plant put it in healthy soil and water everyday untill it looks happy and green then you can leave it alone or water whenever you would like to.
