Pazuzu is among the oldest of beings, predating the Abyss itself. He is a primordial.

Pazuzu is a powerful Demon Lord and one of the eldest of them. He is also called the Dark Angel of the Four Winds and the Prince of Aerial Kingdoms.

Pazuzu holds rule over all dark flying creatures, even among the Abyss. The harpies, gargoyles, manticores, dark fey and dragons are His worshipers. His temples lie in wildernesses, atop cliffs, or on mountain peaks - in areas unreachable by those incapable of flight.

Pazuzu has a personal guard at his command and always by his side called the Six Wings of Pazrael. He is on good terms with daemons and the dukes of the Nine Hells.

The demon Pazuzu began existence as an angel, one of 14, who became Lucifer's chief lieutenants when he led a rebellion against Heaven. After Lucifer's defeat, Pazuzu joined the ranks of the Annunaki, gods worshiped by the Sumerians, Assyrians and Mesopotamians. In this capacity, he often appeared as a winged lion-eagled hybird, although he also manifested as a scaled humanoid with ram's horns and appendages resembling a scorpion's tail and a serpent.

As described the Babylonian myth of the Atrahasis, "human beings have grown too numerous, too loud, and far too fertile. Further, they live so long that more of them are being born at any given time than those who die. They cover the earth and disturb the god Enlil with their noise to such an extent that he decides to destroy them in a great flood.  After the flood waters subside, the god of wisdom Enki proposes a plan to re-populate the earth: the gods will create a new kind of human with a shorter life span and greater threats to their lives on a daily basis. Henceforth there will be disease, miscarriages, impotency, sterility, attacks by wild animals, and all other manner of death waiting in a day...."

One of the best ways to protect one's self against god's attacks was to find a protector in an equally powerful demon who would stand as a shield between a mortal and the wrath of the gods. Pazuzu became the most popular of all protective deities. Pazuzu appears as a combination of animal and human parts - with the body of a man, the head of a lion or dog, talons of an eagle, two pairs of wings, and a scorpion's tail. His right hand up and left hand down. Pazuzu's especially frightening figure is capable of scaring off any evil demon or ghost. Although Pazuzu is, himself, considered to be an evil spirit, he drives and frightens away other evil spirits, therefore protecting humans against disasters and misfortunes. Who honor him by asking for his protection have nothing to fear from the demon Pazuzu, when he came, he would turn his demonic powers on those threatening his charges, not on the individual who had invoked him.

Throughout his thousands of years of existence, Pazuzu perfected his craft. He holds a powerful magic greatsword that grants him a great speed of acting. Pazuzu answer to anyone, he forms a link across any distance or any planes. Pazuzu communicates through telepathy, his communication skills extend also to a weaker ability of telepathy. Pazuzu has the ability to read the thoughts of his keeper, determine their intentions, and appear directly beside them at will. Pazuzu can grant much costed aid and will grant this aid repeatedly.
