Description

Offered here is this Antique Turkish Style Armchair.  It is in good stable condition, but the upholstery on the arms in particular needs some restoration.  The carved aspects of this chair amazing.  I am unsure of the age of the chair, but I believe that it is quite old. It is a Turkish style, and the upholstery, at least on the arms, is some type of reptile skin.  This is beginning to peel off in the center and would need to be repaired or replaced.  It is upholstered in a matching fabric on the seat and back, but I do not know the material content of those areas.  The carved details on the top of the arms are made to look like clawed feet.  The chair sits in a somewhat reclined position.  It is structurally stable.  There are some light surface scratches on the wood finishes of the chair.  The chair upholstery is quite worn on the back as well.  It is 38.5” tall at the back, 27” across at the front of the armrests, 18” high at the seat, 23” across the arms at the center of the chair, 18” across the seat inside the armrests, 17” across the back of the seat, 21” across the front of the seat between the armrests, 20.5” deep at the seat, 36.5” deep in total.  It is a beautiful, interesting antique chair.
