This is a  rare Boyds plush penguin in the shape of a very large penguin.  I have searched the internet and do not find another one of these listed now or sold recently.  Because it was expensive when new, I feel certain that very few were made.  I did find a record of one that sold sometime in 2007 or 2008 that had quite a bit of information.  At that time, this was the largest Boyd penguin ever made; I haven't found any others even close to this size.

This plush has fairly long black fur covering most of its body with a white tummy and cream colored cheeks.  The underside of the wings is white velvet or very fine velour, and the feet and inside of the mouth are orange velour.  She has very dark brown glass eyes.  I've included closeup pictures of the 3 tags.

Here is the information from the prior 2007/8 listing I found:  "You are looking at a brand new, just released plush penguin from the Boyds Bears, Baby Boyds Cuddle-fluffs Collection. Her name is Polly and she is the biggest penguin ever from the Boyds Collection. Polly is an adorable 23 inch tall penguin. This edition was issued for Fall 2007".

SIZE:  Polly is a little over 18" tall when she is standing looking down and approximately 10" wide and 10" deep at the tummy.  Lying down with the head stretched upward, the height is about 23", but she is meant to have her head bent down.

CONDITION:  There are no areas of loose stitching, tears, soil, unpleasant odors, or other damage.  She has been played with and stored for a long time, so I did vacuum and sanitize her so she'd be ready for a new home.

BACKGROUND:  This is from a plush collection I purchased from a neighbor's estate.  This lady had a lot of dolls and stuffed animals in the bedroom reserved for her grandchildren's visits.  I'm listing some of the plush this week.
