We do not believe the canteen and cover go together.  The cover is BSA and the canteen is US 1944.  The canteen does have the previous owners name scratched in.   The BSA cover does have stains. 

The BSA utility toilet tree bag has stains consistent with age and usage.  Please see all pictures.
