I am offering the French Napoleon Bonaparte Emperor Commemorative medal with eyelet for ribbon suspension.

OBVERSE: Laureate head of Napoleon facing right with the inscription of "NAPOLEON EMPEREUR" around the outside.

Napoleon was portrayed in a Caesar like profile on the heads of the medal.

REVERSE: a symbol of a Prancing Lion in a circle with 4 other circles around it.

The Lion is a symbol of Majesty, Bravery, and Boldness in European Heraldry.

French heraldry calls the passant lion a leopard; accordingly Napoleon said to his soldiers, "Let us drive these leopards (the English) into the sea." In heraldry any Lion not rampant is often called a lion leopard?.

Napoleon I was crowned Emperor of the French on a cold December 2nd in 1804. Napoleon planed his coronation with as great a care as he did his wars.

Measurement: 30.5 mm or 1 ??? in diameter.

Weight: 9.8 grams.

Condition: Extra Fine. See photos..

The medal you see in the photo is the medal you get.

Fantastic for your jewelry, craft projects, altered art, Steampunk, Scrapbooking, collage art projects or just a great addition to your medals collection.
