DESCRIPTION

seaside*collectibles is pleased to bring you this unusual urn shaped demitasse cup is a fine translucent bone china with softly fluted sides. The cup's shape is mirrored in the saucer's center. The bowl features a very ornate HAND APPLIED raised porcelain lace pattern and a delicate floral garland detail. This same HAND APPLIED raised porcelain fluid lace design is also mirrored in the matching saucer.

The handles are very unusual - statuesquely standing off from the bowl (perfect for grasping) the handles appear to anchor just above the base of the cup.

Inside the cup, at the bottom holds a surprise - there is a hand painted ornate gold leaf rose!

The saucer has a very detailed floral design like that of the teacup. Near the rims & the base of both cup & saucer there is a heavy gold leaf flower petal pattern. The well balanced patterns chosen for the design add to the overall blend of artistry in this piece. UNCOMMON.

COLORS: The set is bone china white with a handpainted green, deep rose pink, violet and dark red floral - the raises ornate HAND APPLIED decoration are of a bright white white. Heavy goldleaf detailing throughout.

SIZE: The delicate cup's mouth has a diameter of about 2 1/4.a€ The saucer is about 4 " in diameter.

CONDITION: Excellent Antique Vintage Condition. No chips, cracks, loss of detail (rubbing), crazing or repairs - detailing is bright. Set needs some cleaning.
