A little bit about the New England Village Series from the box:

The New England Village Series was created in 1986 to capture the spirit of historic small town America in the 1800s.  Imagine crashing waves against a rocky shoreline as a backdrop to picturesque lighthouses, nautical cottages, smoking chimneys, one-room schoolhouses, and seaside business.  Horse-drawn wagons pull wares for the Village through the snow-dusted streets while Villagers keep busy with their trade.  Though life is simple here, folks have plenty to do, from selling homemade quilts to sleigh riding through a rolling countryside filled with authentic rural barns, farmhouses, and churches.  Surrounded by the crisp winter air the Village and its residents capture the essence of the spirit of New England.
