This token / safety award copper medallion has some storage and age related wear.

(Wording placed on relief of a 700lb

traditional copper anode.)

The original design for the anodes, was called a

"T-Shirt Anode"

Made in this shape to facilitate ease of transport, loading and unloading on Rail Cars, which were set up with 2 parellel rails the length of the car to set the,

"T-Shirt Arms," over to carry the Anodes in a line.

Phelps Dodge sold to Freeport MacMoran in 2007.

These will never be made again.

Given out to employees working in departments that reached specific safety goals as a commemorative.

This token comes from the estate of a heavy equipment operator working at the Chino Mine in Santa Rita NM.
