• Condition: All the pats available are free of chips, cracks, crazing, fleabites and repairs. There are no notable marks from use and storage. There is light shelf wear on the bottom as expected. The bottoms are marked "Theodore (underlined) Haviland, Limoges, France, patent applied for" in red, mark p. It's a beautiful pattern and in wonderful condition, perfect for use and display.

Butter Pats were an essential piece of high society tableware during the mid-late Victorian Era. The pat usually held a tablespoon of whipped butter in a rosette shape or stamped with the house seal. Today they are still commonly found at hotels and restaurants and commonly used as tea bag rests at home.
