• Unknown Cutting House (possibly Libbey), Libbey Blank
• Banana Bowl; Large Oval Bowl
• Crystal, Clear
• Motifs: Large Hobstars, (Beaded and Un-beaded) Vesica with alternating Cross and X Boxes, Strawberry Diamonds, Fine Diamonds, Flash
• Antique American Brilliant Period (ABP) Cut Glass c.1896-1906
• Measurements: 11 1/2" by 8" at the rim and 4 1/2" high
• Weight, prepackaged: 5 lbs 6.8 oz

• Condition: There is a minor chip on the outside edge of one tooth which can be found only under inspection and doesn't effect the height. The balance of the bowl is free of chips, cracks or fleabites including on the exterior cuts. One of the highest 4 points on the exterior rim is slightly lower then the others which could be as cut or could be an expert repair. There are no notable scratches from use or storage. The bottom has slight shelf wear on the highest points as expected. The glass is crystal clear and free of cloudiness with a light green glow under UV light. The glass is high quality with nice clarity and bell like resonance. The cuts are superbly done with some minor variations as expected in hand cut glass.

The blank was produced by Libbey circa 1896 to 1906. The pattern is a marriage of Libbey's Corinthian (hobstar sides and center) with Libbey's Marcella (overall cuts and vesica) both found in Libbey's 1896 catalog. However piece is not signed and I've been unable to find an exact match leaving the cutting house unknown. It's a fantastic, beautifully cut pattern and will make a superb addition to any ABP glass collection.
