Lovely early Meek lace valentine card. The lace has a pattern of fuschia and leaves. Cupid is floating in water with flowers and leaves below him.  Back has some scrapbook residue. The right front top has a piece of lace missing.  Card measures 5 1/2 x 3 5/8 inches.  Small cards like this were rare in the 1840's.  The emphasis was on larger quarto sized cards. It is unsigned but was obsviously used by looking at the folds on the back. Over all good condition due to the bit of missing lace, but still very pretty.
