Paw Brothers Rakes are TEFLON Coated allowing pins glide more easily through
the coat and make cleaning hair out of rake a breeze. Rounded pins help to
prevent skin irritation and minimize tugging.
Undercoat rakes are best for using to remove undercoat on thick or
double-coated breeds. Undercoat rakes are ideal for breeds with thicker and
double coats, as the longer, wider-spaced tines allow them to pass through both
coats and coax the loose under layer free. Although referred to as
“Undercoat" Rakes these tools are not only great for removing undercoat
but also are perfect to remove tangles, light mats (for heavily matted coats a
Dematting tool is suggested-see my other listings) and loose, shedding or dead
hair with speed and efficiency on any breed of dog or cat. Pins get down,
deeper into the coat vs a deshedding tool, especially on breeds with thicker hair
or coats. When used regularly, they help to prevent matting.

How do I use specifically to remove undercoat?
Undercoat
Rakes are best used with line brush or layer brush technique: Starting at the
lower rear area of the back legs, push the fur up with one hand, and using the
rake in the other hand, brush the fur out from under the hand in
"layers" or "lines." This technique allows the pins to
reach all the way to the skin to remove as much loose fur as possible with the
least effort for the groomer, and less stress and pulling on the coat for the
pet.

RETURNS/REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
All returns are accepted. We try to accurately and honestly describe all our products and handle returns in a fair and reasonable manner. All items, unless otherwise stated, are new with manufacturer’s warranty (if any warranty-this will be stated in item description).
