The binding and hinges are broken, but all pages are present and attached except page 13/14 is missing which is the page between the list of illustrations and chapter one. The pages are tanned and foxed, there are scattered brown age spots and there is a bookplate and a gift inscription dated 1921 on the front end paper. The cover is very edge worn and the rear spine hinge is split. A reading copy only. Poor. Hardcover.

Relating the experiences of the Bad Boy and his Dad during their travels with a Circus. The Bad Boy gets his Dad in hot water in every conceivable way, and plays jokes and pranks on everyone, from the Clown to the Manager, and from the Monkey to the Elephant.
