Welcome and thanks for visiting!

I am offering the 1955 French Liberty 100 Francs Copper Nickel coin # 33.

In France Liberty, or Liberté, is sometimes represented as a classical goddess but she is often confused with the personification of the French Nation, Marianne. The figure carrying a Torch and wearing a Phrygian cap (or Liberty Cap) is Liberté not Marianne.

OBVERSE: Capped head of Liberty right holding torch, REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE.

REVERSE: Stalks and leaves to right of value and date, LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE 100 FRANCS date.

Edge: Milled.

Measurement: 24 mm or 15/16” in diameter.

Weight: 5.8 grams.

Condition: XF (Extra Fine), see photos.

As a coin collector I DO NOT clean any of my coins to preserve the original patina, if you wish to clean the coin/s I will leave it up to you.

I’m willing to drill a hole in the coin with NO Extra Cost if you needed for Jewelry Making.

The coin you see in the photo is the coin you get.

Fantastic for your jewelry, craft projects, Steampunk, collage art projects or just a great addition to your vintage coins collection.
