Usually when you think of Swedish beans, a small brown bean comes to mind. However, this larger, deep yellow oval bean was was also grown and passed down for generations. (My family, the Lundquists, came from Sweden and settled near Funk, Nebraska)The plants are sturdy and upright, about a foot tall and covered in 3 inch pods. The beans are dried on the vine, shelled, and then cooked. The flavor is rich and the texture is light and tender. I'll send 60 or so seeds in a packet, enough for a number of rows.
