This is an unusual pair of vintage sterling silver polka dot and miniature balls stud earrings with a polished, bezel set, round onyx cabochon. The earrings are stamped 925 on the back. Although not marked, they appear to be Mexican. I have not found another pair like them in my searches on the Internet.

They measure approximately 7/8 of an inch wide and 1 1/8 inches tall. Because they are handmade they are different from each other slightly in design. They weigh .2 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 5.67 grams.

These are in very good vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not polished them as the original patina helps bring out the details in the ball accents. The posts are a little crooked, but work just fine. If you look closely the spacing is a little off between the tiny balls, almost as if a ball is missing here and there, but I think they were made that way and the pieces were placed wherever the artist could fit them. You only see the spaces with the magnified pictures.

These would make a great addition to your vintage sterling silver jewelry collection. They are perfect for everyday wear with your favorite pair of jeans or with that little black dress for an evening affair.
