Vintage Mid 20th Century Asian Black Lacquer Peacocks Motif Abalone Inlay Jewelry Box w/ Drawer. The inside of the box is lined in red velvet type fabric.

It has a hinged lid with lockable latch, likely made of silver-plated copper.

It is a lovely decorative object that may also serve a multitude of functions, such as jewelry box, trinket box, or to conceal small items one wishes to keep out of sight. Alternatively, use it to present a special gift to a loved one. This is also a functioning music box which winds up on the bottom underneath. Good preowned condition.
