This is an obsolete Israeli army Herev (Sword) batallion badge.
The Herev Battalion has distinguished itself since its establishment as a leading and significant force in the IDF’s infantry units.
The unit figured soldiers from the Druze and Circassians minorities.
The druzes are a minority in the Israeli population that are loyal to the country and serve in the IDF forces.
This unit was disbanded in 2015 and the soldiers were integrated in other infantry battalions.
