Burpee Improved Lima Beans (Phaseolus lunatus) is a very high yielding variety of lima beans and its bushy plants produce tasty 4" - 5" pods that are larger and thicker than traditional lima beans. Each pod will contain 3-5 pale green beans. This heirloom was introduced in 1907 by W. Atlee Burpee, and is low in fat with no cholesterol. An excellent source of protein.
