Beautiful!  10k GOLD FILLED POCKET/PENDANT/BUTTON WATCH WITH BEAUTIFUL ENGRAVED TYPE DESIGN.

Movement marked: Elgin, Elgin Natl Watch Co, and USA.

From what I found online this is a Model 1, made in 1897, 0s, 7j and grade 109.  The case is gold filled...most likely 10k but could be 14k as well.

The back cover has an elaborate engraving.

Condition:  The glass is nice with only light signs of age....no cracks or scratches.  It is missing its crown loop.  The bottom loop is still there to make it a pendant watch.  Opens and closes perfectly.  It will need some work before running.  Time cannot be set.

It will be protected well and insured.
