This is a small elegant tree with wide over hanging branches which are covered in small pale pinkish-white flowers in April. This small tree holds its main branches out horizontally weeping almost to the ground. When mature it will be wider than tall. Ornamental cherries grow best in full sun on moist soils, they do not like water logged soil. Hardy in zones 5-8 and reach up to 8' in height and 6-8' in width.
