• Condition: The back rim (ouside edge) has two old repaired flake chips, the largest being shy of 1/4" width. Both are well repaired and hard to see without close inspection. The balance of the vase is free of chips, cracks, crazing, fleabites and repairs, including all the corners and edges of the rococo style handles, pierced rim decoration and foot. There are no notable flaws in the exteror porcelain or glaze. The interior has a "clump" of unglazed porcelain and a handful of glaze bubbles only on the very bottom. It has nice resonance when tinged, including on the handles (indicating there are no hidden cracks or hairlines). The interior is exceptionally clean with no residue, mineral deposits or marks from use. The bottom has some shelf wear and felt pads attached. The bottom has a incised knot (or ribbon) mark, approximately 1/2" high by 5/8" wide.
The designs are all hand painted with gentle brush strokes visible under magnifcation. The paint is superb no notable marks, though there is a touch of wear on the bottom edge of the blue field. The gold is excellent with some wear on the hieghest points of the handles, rim and foot (most notable on the back rim). It's a stunning vase and in fantastic condition.
