This piece is marked Bartsch Manufacturing Co. chrome plated on the back. This piece will hold hot cold water in the reservoir to keep food warm or cold.
The condition is very good no chips or cracks to pottery insert, no dents or pitting/corrosion to chrome frame. The original plastic topped screw in plug is intact and damage free.
