This vintage ice cap is in its original box. The box reads in part: B F Goodrich Ice Cap, No 38, 9 inch, English type, Checkered. The box has heavy wear and some waterstaining on the the bottom flap. The colors are red and white, the white having yellowed with age. The graphics are still nice and bright. The original price of 1.89 is written in grease pencil on the front of the box.

The ice bag is the kind that would collasp in a spiral fashion to be held on a bump or other injury. The rubber in the bottom of the bag feels to be brittle to the touch, so I did not try to flatten it. There are some dark spots on the bottom of the bag, they look more like stains than anything else. The lid is in very good condition, and is easily removeable. The bag is a black and what checkered pattern.

This would be a great piece to add to any collection of vintage health and beauty items, or simply to display with other vintage boxes from the same time period.
