Case is wood and anti tarnish fabric lined interior.  Sticker labels on inside say Tarnish resisting Chest tested and approved by the laboratories of The International Silver Co. There is also a sign inside that says Rogers and Bro. Reinforced Silverplate 55 piece service for 8 made by the International Silver Co, Meriden, CT. Box has lid that is hinged and opens at top and drawer in bottom half that pulls out. Brass knob on drawer.

Silverplate has vintage wear and discoloration, scratches due to use.Some of the flatware is still in plastic bags, with discoloration on areas that are showing but minimal wear, some bags have not been opened at all, some pieces have use wear and scratches. Chest has vintage wear and discoloration. Inside fabric has some wear and discoloration. Box has some surface scratches, especially on top near the back, surface wear especially on edges of box.
