There is no date on the materials, but there is an old style (pre-computer) receipt in the envelope from Smitty's Big Town grocery store, Phoenix, Arizona, which closed in 1997. Other listings say it's from the 1960s.

The tails have kids' names hand-written on the back, as if ready for a party - but there are no pin marks in them; Mickey poster has not been used (also no pin marks); the white part of the poster is slightly yellowed in places; the donkey poster has some pin pricks; the envelope was cut open at the top, taped shut at the bottom, but otherwise just normal shelf wear.

Some of the names on the back of the tails seem dated, for sure: Eddie; Charlie; Anita; Scott; Kelly; David; Donnie; Freddie; Adam
