New Melling timing chain damper conversion bracket for 97-04 LS based engines. A damper keeps the timing chain from slapping around. The bracket bolts to the cam retainer plate, then the damper bolts to the plate. This kit includes the bracket and hardware. A factory LS2 damper is required (GM# 12588670 or Melling# BD417, NOT INCLUDED). This is a great upgrade for the older motors that don't have the damper holes. Fits 97-04 LS based engines : LS1/LS6/LQ4/LQ9
