These perennial lilies are found natively along the coast and alpine areas of the USA. Beautiful white flowers grow to 1 ft. tall. They will grow under the shade of other plants, trees or in full sun.

These flowers can be potted and kept indoors by a sunny window or in flower beds or rows outdoors.

Erythronium Montanum lilies make for great accent flowers when planted next to other colored flowers. And they standout well alone too.

Other flowers that make for good companion plants to the White Avalanche Lily:
Dahlia, Canna Lily, Daffodil, Tulip

In addition, they pair very well with another red-colored perennial wild flower that I sell called the Red Lobelia Cardinal Flower.

Bloom time is April-May.
Seed collection time is June-July.

If planting in rows or in garden beds, space the lilies 1/2 a foot apart. Avalanche lily thrives in light soil types (sand or loamy soil).

Germination Procedure: Sow seeds in fall for sprouts the next year or apply cold stratification in the freezer for 2-3 months to simulate winter conditions and break seed dormancy, then surface-sow in 65-70 degree temperatures.
