Wonderful primitive North Georgia Mountain barn find in this weighted stoneware pottery crock or jug. Gorgeous natural beige in color with jadite green glaze highlighted detail. Handles on each side of crock remain intact and at one time probably held a wire bail handle. Color looks to have been all over at one time in it's life, yet has faded over the years, but some remains on outside, rim and even inside too! We searched and searched the dark barn for the lid, but alas could not be found. Such a treasure of days gone by and can be utilized in so many ways (still holds water) or even a fabulous display piece to show off this slice of history!

Crock is in excellent antique condition! The usual pre-loved light surface wear here and there, crock does have a ding to middle rim (see pics) and a ding to rim on bottom and 1 that looks to have been repaired from years of adding usefulness to Miss Beatrice's kitchen, but nothing that distracts from the primitive treasure! Please see enlarged pics for best description and details.
