Purchased a few years ago from an antebellum estate in Port Gibson, MS, this is a commemorative needlepoint over brick, from St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Woodville, Mississippi. I opened one end to verify that it is a brick, and you can easily re-close that end. I didn't pull the brick out. It is covered in a layer of muslim over another covering and then the needlework is over that. Needlepoint in good condition, a little dusty.
